Of Course! LAMPsig ClassesLAMPsig members have established a series of free courses on different facets in LAMP development. Past classes have focused on general PHP scripting, OOP in PHP5, and MySQL. The topics, times, instructors vary so if please join our announcement mailing list (a very low volume list) to receive notices of new classes forming.
Courses at LAMPsig in the discussion stages:Classes and class topics are suggested by our members. If you like to contribute by either organizing or teaching a LAMPsig course, feel free to suggest a topic to the planning list or contact Jim Workman. Two classes are in the discussion stage, 1) an advanced PHP class, and 2) an intensive on the CMS Joomla/Mambo. Joomla! is a fork of Mambo and is a powerful Open Source Content Management System. It is used all over the world for everything from simple websites to complex corporate applications. Joomla! is easy to install, simple to manage, and reliable.
